- Promoted from Chief Operating Officer position
Jan 6, 2006 - Eventide today announced the promotion of Chief Operating Officer Jason Beck to the position of President.
"In the short time Jason has held the position of Chief Operating Officer, Eventide has made major strides in product development and customer satisfaction," said Richard Factor, Eventide's Chairman. "After serving as President for 35 years, I feel extremely fortunate to be able to hand the reins to a person with such remarkable abilities and proven talent."
Beck joined Eventide in 1999 and quickly became a key member of its engineering team. Over the years, Beck has taken on increased responsibilities and, in December 2004, was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Beck's sterling record of success in each of his increasingly responsible roles at Eventide made the next step clear.
"Eventide is recognized as one of the prime movers of digital logging for public safety and I'm both humbled and proud to take the helm of the company," said Beck. "Eventide's loggers provide a mission-critical function, and I take it as our solemn duty to supply products that deliver the utmost in reliability and to listen to our customers above all else. To be able to set our future course and to call on Eventide's dedicated and talented staff to achieve our goals is a dream come true."
Beck graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Dakota. Earlier in his career Beck served as General Manager for Border Computer Systems. Beck is also an accomplished keyboardist and private pilot.
