TimeFactor and ModFactor - The Keys to Guitarist Eddie Trucco’s Repertoire

5/6/2009 - Eventide’s powerful and versatile TimeFactor and ModFactor deliver the goods for guitarist Eddie Trucco in both recording and performing.

Eddie Trucco, currently promoting his third album with the pop rock band Si Senor, has worked with several other artists in his time and continues to explore and exploit the depth and variety of effects in both products.

Trucco began his musical career early, playing steady gigs at local bars and clubs by the age of 14. After studying jazz in South Miami Senior High, under an art-specialized magnet program, Trucco returned home to Puerto Rico to play with the band Iguana. Upon college graduation he seized the opportunity to record with such artists as Vico C, Jungle Brothers, Pepe Alba, Black Sheep, Ivy Queen, Puya, and Daddy Yankee.

Then, with the decision to step away from the mixing desk, Trucco turned his focus on his career as a guitarist, playing with four different Latin music groups; Si Senor, Naldo, Iguana, and Jeremias.

Trucco purchased a TimeFactor and a ModFactor to use on his musical endeavors. Both products are full-featured Eventide studio-quality stompboxes. TimeFactor includes 10 stereo or dual mono delay effects, including Digital Delay, Vintage Delay, Tape Echo, Modulated Delay, Ducked Delay, Band Delay, Filter Pong, MultiTap Delay, Reverse Delay and Looper. ModFactor includes 10 of Eventide’s best modulation effects, including Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, PolyMod, TremoloPan, Undulator, Vibrato, Q-Wah, ModFilter and RingMod.

Since Trucco purchased the TimeFactor and ModFactor pedals, they have become a permanent fixture in his studio. “I rely on both stompboxes a great deal when it comes to my music,” said Trucco. “In fact, of all the gear that I’ve used, these are the boxes that I can’t imagine ever parting with.”

Currently, Si Senor is looking to begin a media tour for their second single, “Todo Me Hace Recordar”, performing on both television and radio. They also will be conducting a summer tour involving radio station events, colleges, clubs, and benefits. Naldo will be releasing a new album in late April, followed by a media tour in May. Trucco also has his work cut out for him with Iguana, who will be releasing a second album in late summer.
