10/5/2007 - Seton Daunt of Fiction Plane, currently on tour with the Police, keeps TimeFactor at center stage to get the sounds he needs.
After collaborating with the music industry’s top artists, engineers and producers for over 36 years, Eventide brings its world-class effects into the stompbox world in a compact package that allows guitarists such as Seton Daunt to realize their creative goals. Daunt is the guitarist for Fiction Plane, now on a worldwide tour with The Police.
Fiction Plane is a London-based guitar-driven trio featuring Daunt, bass guitarist/vocalist Joe Sumner and drummer Pete Wilhoit. After releasing a debut album and an EP, the band is currently on tour in support of their third release and second full-length album, Left Side of the Brain. Daunt has found TimeFactor to be the expressive tool he has been looking for, both in the studio and on the road.
“I chose the Eventide TimeFactor because it is THE delay pedal that I’ve been waiting for,” said Daunt. “It is everything you could want in a delay. It’s incredibly versatile and sounds thick and lush.”
The Eventide TimeFactor Twin Delay is the culmination of 36 years of Eventide boundary smashing effects distilled into a portable, cast metal stompbox. TimeFactor includes Eventide’s 10 best stereo or dual mono delay effects, including Digital Delay, Vintage Delay, Tape Echo, Modulated Delay and Ducked Delay, as well as Band Delay, Filter Pong, MultiTap Delay, Reverse Delay and a 12 second Looper with varispeed.
Featuring two independent delays of up to 3 seconds, TimeFactor sports true analog bypass, USB for future-proof software upgrades via the Internet, and MIDI in, out/through for locking to MIDI clock tempo. In addition, TimeFactor is chock full of 20 great presets featuring instant, glitch-free program change. TimeFactor offers real time parameter control with 10 knobs, MIDI or with an expression pedal. TimeFactor is housed in a rugged cast metal construction with a bright easy-to-read display and features reliable metal footswitches for instant preset access and tap tempo.
“Fiction Plane is a musical force to be reckoned with,” noted Ray Maxwell, Eventide vice president of sales and marketing. “Clearly, The Police think that and I expect many of the fans who’ve seen the tour will also agree. We’re thrilled that such an exciting new talent like Seton is using TimeFactor and we eagerly await the tour’s arrival in the NY metro area.”
